Mansion Committee

In 1970, Action Line Housing Society (“Action Line”) purchased the historic Overlynn Mansion (“Overlynn”) and developed a 19-storey senior’s housing complex on a portion of the property (“Seton Villa”). Overlynn Mansion (“Overlynn”) is a 1909 British Arts and Crafts mansion built by Charles J. Peter as a personal residence and was given heritage designation by Burnaby City Council in 1995.

As owner, Action Line is responsible for the preservation and protection of Overlynn.  Action Line is undertaking rejuvenation of Overlynn Mansion and would like to engage with local residents to gain input and recommendations with respect to potential use of Overlynn, and options for revenue streams to ensure the long-term financial feasibility of maintaining this important heritage building.

We are now accepting applications to be part of an Ad-hoc Committee to make recommendations to Action Line Housing Board of Directors.

Applications are now being accepted until September 12, 2021.  We will notify successful applicants the following week.

The first introductory meeting will be held October 4, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm by Zoom followed by 2 or 3 evening workshops over the following 6 months.

Please complete the application form below and and submit it by email  to mcook@setonvilla.com with the  subject line “Mansion Committee”.
